Shelton Wirasinha memorial Building

Wesley College embarked on a new building project to:

a.  Provide additional class-rooms for A/L students
b.  Provide a Junior science Lab
c.  A Canteen
d.  ATech.skills room
e.  A Scout den

These are urgent necessities our students have been deprived for a long time. The foundation was laid on the Founders day-2nd March2002 by Rev.Noel Fernando Manager of Wesley and President of the Methodist Church amidst a representative gathering of Parents, Old boys, Teachers and Students. The guests of honour were Mrs.Manel Wirasinha-wife of late Mr.Wirasinha and Ms.Dushyanthi her daughter. The new building will be dedicated to late Mr.Wirasinha who principaled and guided Wesley during a dark period of her history. The building has come up to the 1st floor stage. The estimated cost is Approx. Rs.9 to 10 million. I earnestly appeal to old boys in foreign countries to donate generously towards this worthy cause.
